Recommended reading: Life Is So Good

I highly recommend reading Life is So Good by George Dawson and Richard Glaubman.

That's George Dawson on the cover. Read a bit about him, this book, and literacy on the Literacy Connections site.

Aww. I read this when it first came out and loved it. Just a gentle read. I've now just discovered that he died within a month of the publication - which I never knew.

Thank you for this. I didn't know either. I hope he died a month after it was published rather than before. Do you know?

Before. I'm going off death date from wikipedia and publication date from here. It appears he was on Oprah that June too. Obviously there will have been advance copies so it's probable, with Penguin as publishers that a great many review copies had circulated up to a month or 2 before the official release date. So at least he got to experience some of the hoopla!
